Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home
The Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home has been a pillar of the Kennett Square community since 1860. Founded in that year as a funeral home by William H. Worrall, it also operated as a furniture store. A very typical practice of funeral homes during that era. Workers would manufacture furniture and caskets. The Worrall family continued to operate the business until forming a partnership with Albert F. Kuzo in the early 1970s. After 1975, the Kuzo family took ownership of the funeral home. In 1987, Russell J. Gofus and his wife Amber became the newest owners of the facility. Today, Grieco Funeral Homes is proud to adopt the fine family heritage of years past, as well as the Victorian charm and character of the historic architecture. We look very forward to continuing professional and dedicated services to the families of Kennett Square and surrounding communities.

Erik Hemmingsen, 95, of Kennett Square PA, died there December 30th.
He was professor of mathematics at Syracuse University from 1947 to 1987, and Chair of its math department in the
1970s. His parents brought him to the US from Denmark in 1919. As a child he sailed with his father, captain of a four-masted schooner, and later was a cabin boy several times in summers on Danish freighters. ...
