Edward P. Carter, Sr., age 70, of Cochranville, PA, passed away on February 21, 2008 at Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove, PA. He was the husband of Irene Caudill Carter, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Sarah Finnegan Carter.

Ed was employed by the DuPont Co., Wilmington, DE in the Treasurers Unit, Stockholder Relations Dept. for 36 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of the Italian American club and a former member of the Longwood Fire Co.

Ed enjoyed golfing, traveling, hunting and fishing, and going to the Ramblers Rest Hunting Club in Potter County, PA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward P. Carter, Jr., his wife Ingrid, and three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Caitlin of Corona, CA as well as a brother, Charles Carter of West Grove, PA.

He was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey W. Carter, who passed away in April 2000.

Family and friends are welcome to visit with Eds family from 7:30 to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home (610-444-4116), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett Square, PA. Interment will be in Longwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Eds memory to the Neighborhood Visiting Nurse Association, 795 E. Marshall St., Suite 204, West Chester, PA 19380 or to the Amyloidosis Research Foundation, 7151 N.
