ELIZABETH "BETTY" BOYER SCHRODER, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the Franciscan Care Center, Hockessin, DE. She was the wife of John Schroder who passed away in 2000, and with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born on April 18, 1927 in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Charles Boyer and the late Helen Gaines.
She retired from Delaware Engineering and Fabrication, Landenberg, PA in 1992.
Betty enjoyed camping and playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, John E. Schroder and his wife Linda of Hustontown, PA and Charles P. Schroder and his wife Bonnie of West Grove, PA; one daughter, Nancy Gift and her husband Chris of Lincoln University, PA, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two grandsons, John Paul Schroder and Christopher Gift.
You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 on Thursday morning, January 12, 2012, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA (Phone: 610-444-4116). Her funeral service will follow at 11:00. Burial will be Longwood Cemetery, Route 1, Kennett Square, PA.
