Enrico "Harry" Francis Testa, age 60, of Kennett Square, died Saturday September 3, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of the late Linda Baisch Testa who died in 2004 and with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
Born in Wilmington DE, he was the son of the late James Testa who died in 1974 and Lillian Testa Mazza who lives in Avondale.
Harry was currently a Sales Consultant for Frezzo Brothers in Avondale. For many years, he worked for Mushroom Central and from 1969 to 1991 he was owner of James Testa Company. Harry was highly respected in the mushroom growing industry and was called on for guidance by many of the area mushroom businesses. He was a member of the Italian American Club, a phenomenal artist and he loved the outdoors which was evidenced by his vegetable garden. Most importantly, Harry loved his family, especially his children and grand children.
In addition to his mother and stepfather Emilio Mazza, Harry is survived by his two children; James "Jimmy" F. Testa of Kennett Square and Kelly Rago and her husband Bob of Lititz PA, two sisters; Marlene Brown and her husband Tom of Kennett Square and Patty Thompson and her husband Ted of Avondale, two grandchildren; Tony and Lindsey Rago and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
You are invited to visit with Harry's family from 6-8PM Friday September 9, 2011 and from 10-11AM Saturday September 10th at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA 19311. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM at the Church on Saturday. Interment will be held privately in St. Patrick Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Kennett Fire Company 301 Dalmatian St., Kennett Square, PA 19348.
